The recording week in Stockholm
with Eric Young and Martin Sweet!!!

As we rolled in on the busstation in Stockholm a great sigh of relief were heard from us all. After spending five hours on the road with endless of construction sites that slowed traffic to a point were you could've easily walked faster the rest of the way and screaming kids in the seat next to you we all felt like a great burden had been lifted from our shoulders as we walked out onto the street.

After a short walk we got to Ten Productions were Nicki's dad Adis work. We sat down and checked out all of the stuff that was laying around, demos, awards, posters a.s.o. After a short wait Adis took us to the apartment were we for the coming week would crash. The apartment was owned by a guy called Guffe, who's an song writer and who has worked with a couple of great artists like Charlotte Perelli for example.
After leaving our stuff in the apartment we went to get something to eat and later on we headed towards the nearby store and bought some necessary supplies for the week, and the rest of the day we mostly killed time by sitting talking about the next day.

The following day we started our recording at Eric Young's (Drummer of Crashdïet) place. We got there about ten a.m. and we said hello to Eric and Martin (Lead-guitarist of Crashdïet) who showed up a moment after we got there, and then started to record the drums. Nicki played like hell and after an hour or two he'd finished the drums. After spending some time fixing with the recorded drums Eric decided we would call it a day and continue tomorrow.

We were pretty bored with sitting around in the appartment so that same evening we headed out to meet up with Adis at a concert somewhere in Stockholm. Onstage was first Motoboy (Didn't stay and watch though, to greasy for our taste) and then after him was Lapuma, and they put on a fucking awesome show. When the show was over we stayed and talked a little with Adis and Eric and we got to meet Anders, who had discovered Crashdïet and got them signed, and the new frontman of Crashdïet: Simon Cruz. We stayed until the security guys finally kicked us out because they wanted to go home. Afterwards we went back to the appartment to get some sleep.

The next day we continued with recording the bass and some basic guitars. Adam was really psyched and during the recording he got some advice from Eric how to make the songs even heavier. It was all done in a couple of hours and we went home pleased with ourselves and of what we had accomplished.

On the following day we headed towards Martin's appartment to Sweet Studios to record the first vocals. When we got there we sat down with Martin and listened to the songs that we had recorded at Eric's place the days before. When we had listened for a while we started to record the vocals and as Sebastian sang Martin gave his points of view to how to make the songs more interesting. He even contributed to a couple of back-up vocals. We spent the whole day recording vocals until Sebastian's voice began to fade, then we stopped and decided to finish the rest tomorrow morning.
Tim had earlier that day gone to Eric to record the rythm guitars and as we were finished with the vocals for the day Sebastian went to meet up with his dad and aunt and Adam and Nicki headed over to Eric's to see how things were going.

On our last day of recording we began with finishing the last of the lyrics and to record Tim's solos. Many hours flew by and as day turned to night Martin and Eric put their final touch to Sixsin's demo: Anarchy. Eric and Martin called us over to listen to the result of our, and especially their, hard work. As we stood there listening we could'nt have been more excited and happy about what we heard. We thanked them so much for helping us out and the rest of the evening we hanged out with Martin, Eric, Simon and Martins girlfriend Erica and just had a good fucking time.

Many thanks again to you all. The following day we got ready to take some pictures for the cover of the demo. We met up with professional photographer Christopher Norgren, who had helped us out on our first demo, and another photographer named Viktor. Viktor led us to a really amazing place were we would shoot. It was some sort of underground passage/alleyway that went beneath the subway and it was filled with graffitti and old posters with different kinds of propaganda on them.

As we waited for Christopher to manage his camera, two cops showed up and checked out what was going on. Christopher and Viktor told them that they were shooting our cover for our demo and they even asked if they could get a picture of them arresting us. But they just turned back and went away. To bad, it would have been an awesome picture. We took some group and inividual photos and then we were done. We joined up with Chris and Viktor a bit of the walk back but then we went different ways. We thanked them and headed for nearest restaurant. As we sat there we thought about the week and of what we had done and neither of us wanted this last day to end.

Although, next day came and we packed up our stuff and headed for the bus home. One last thing that made the whole trip home though. No screaming kids in the seat next to you. // Sebastian
